Richard Lawson Eppley, 85, of Charlotte died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Sunrise Living Center in Charlotte. He was the son of the late Fred and Jessie Ridgeway Eppley and husband of the late Kathryn Gregory Eppley.

Mr. Eppley was a member of Providence Road Church of Christ and a veteran of the Army having served with the occupational forces in Korea during WWII. He was a Realtor in Charlotte since 1981 and the owner of Richard L. Eppley & Assoc. Inc, Real Estate in Charlotte

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Bright Eppley; sons, Larry Eppley and wife Carolyn, of Charlotte; Steve Eppley and wife Lila, of Mt. Holly; Alan Eppley of Charlotte and Kenneth Eppley and wife Cindy of Fort Mill, SC; grandsons, Lee Eppley, Jonathan Eppley, Scott Eppley Jesse Eppley; Chris Moore, and Ryan Moore step-sons, Jeff Knight of Midland, NC and John Knight of Charlotte; great children, Kristin Eppley, Shane Eppley, Elijah Eppley and Zoe Eppley.

Funeral services for Mr. Eppley will be held at 4:00pm Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Providence Road Church of Christ, 4900 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC. Jeff Walling and Kent Massey will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 until 4:00 pm at the church. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 am Monday, December 10, 2012 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the NC National Guard Honor Guard. Pallbearers will include his grandsons.

Eppley family I am deeply sadden by your lost,your father was one of the best patients I ever had during my home care days.I thank him for the residence he also blessed me and my family with at a time of need.I would hope that the family would continue to run a caring business.
