Obituary

Richard F. Fulton, Sr., 92, of Indiana, PA, formerly of Beaver Falls, died Friday, May 2, 2014 while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice. He was born October 26, 1921 in Beaver Falls, son of the late Norman Albert and Ethel Irene (Meyers) Fulton. Richard proudly served his country with the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He attended Geneva College and enjoyed a long and successful career as financial planner and stockbroker. Richard retired as the Vice President of Merrill Lynch, Beaver. Richard F. Fulton, Sr., 92, of Indiana, PA, formerly of Beaver Falls, died Friday, May 2, 2014 while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice. He was born October 26, 1921 in Beaver Falls, son of the late Norman Albert and Ethel Irene (Meyers) Fulton. Richard proudly served his country with the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He attended Geneva College and enjoyed a long and successful career as financial planner and stockbroker. Richard retired as the Vice President of Merrill Lynch, Beaver. He also served as the Beaver County Controller for a number of years.
Richard's outdoor passions were boating and golfing. He was a member of the Beaver Valley Country Club where he played many rounds of golf with friends and associates. He was also a member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years: Betty June (Wilcox) Fulton, August 23, 2012; and two brothers: Norman and David Fulton.
Richard is survived by four children: Richard F. Fulton, Jr., married to Jill (Klein); David P. Fulton, married to Nancy (Ross); Bonita Fulton Juliette; Susan Ann Fulton Wydra; eight grandchildren: Kristen Sue (James) Crum; Elisabeth Bonnie Wydra; Ann Josephine Wydra; Louis Keith (Anna) Early; Laura Betty Early; Richard F. Fulton, III; William Klein Fulton; Shelby Fulton; and five great grandchildren; his sister-in-law: Catherine Fulton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday, May 5, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., immediately following the visitation.
Military Honors will be presented by members of the Beaver County Special Unit at 1:30 p.m., in the funeral home. Private interment will follow in the Garden of the Chimes Tower, Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
