Mr. Richard C. Haxton, age 68, of Derry, NH, died Sunday morning in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Carol (Vickers) Haxton. Born in Sacramento, CA, Richard was the son of the late Leonard and Doris (Boch) Haxton. He enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He resided in New Hampshire for the past 10 years, previously residing in Lynn. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an assembler for the Norelco Co. Mr. Richard C. Haxton, age 68, of Derry, NH, died Sunday morning in a local nursing home after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Carol (Vickers) Haxton.
Born in Sacramento, CA, Richard was the son of the late Leonard and Doris (Boch) Haxton. He enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He resided in New Hampshire for the past 10 years, previously residing in Lynn.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as an assembler for the Norelco Co. Music was his life and he also enjoyed classic cars.
He leaves his daughter, Diana Haxton-Twomey and her husband Dale of Derry, NH. He was the Grandfather to Joseph and Kenneth Twomey and the brother to Barry Haxton and his wife Diane of California and the late Adrienne Haxton. Also survived by his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Haxton, Michelle St. Pierre, Karen Donald, Nick Vickers and Josh Haxton.
Richard's Funeral Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8PM. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the , 330 Congress St. #501, Boston, MA02210.
