Richard was a wonderful colleague and inspiring professor. I enjoyed working with him. He touched the lives of many people through his work in higher education. Richard cared about students. He was always willing to teach any class or stop and help a student with homework or advising. He had a heart of service. This is what I hope to take from Richard's example and apply to my own life. Richard, you will be missed. Thank you for inspiring us.
