Richard L. May of Knoxville, age 92, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and retired from the Hyatt Regency. After retirement, he worked another 18 years for Weigels. He is preceded in death by wife Margaret May, brothers Daniel and Allen May, and sister Joetta King. Richard is survived by sons Allen "Wolfie" May (Sarah) and Joe May (Kathy), grandchildren Steven (Courtney), Shane (Wendy) and Robbie (Denna), Claire Williams, and Brannon Robbins. In addition, he leaves behind, 8 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces , nephews and cousins, Sandra Headrick, Don May, Iris Molen ad Jimmy Henderson. Interment will take place on Friday at 11 am at Mt. Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery, 235 E. Copeland Dr., Powell, Tn 37849. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's name to CAC Mobile Meals, P.O. Box 51650, Knoxville, TN 37910. Condolences are welcome at www.weaverfuneralservices.com.
