Richard W. Peak, 83, passed away, Monday, November 5, 2012 at West River Health Campus in Evansville, IN. He was born October 26, 1929 in Evansville.
He worked at Remington Electric Shaver Company and then at Mead Johnson where he retired. He was a Marine and served in the Korean War. He volunteered at SWIRCA and ushered at the Victory Theatre. Richard enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling and radio controlled hydroplanes as a hobby. He was a member of VFW Post 1114 and St. Paul's United Church of Christ in German Township.
Richard is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bertha H. (Jung) Peak; sons, Donald J. Peak (Jan), Cincinnati OH., Steven R. Peak (Lucinda), Evansville, David L. Peak (Karen), Evans, GA., Michael R. Peak (Acacia) Evansville; brother, Edward Peak, Evansville; grandchildren, D. J. Peak (Meggan), Cincinnati, OH., Joe Peak, Cincinnati, OH., Stephanie Peak, Evansville, Sheila Erk (Brent) Evansville, Megan Flores (Roy), Grovetown, Ga., Joshua Peak (Monica), California, Nickie Frye (Joe), Evansville, Allee Carroll Peak, Evansville; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00AM, Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery Heritage Chapel officiated by Rev. Daniel Sather followed by burial at the cemetery. Friends may visit, Tuesday, November 6, 2012, from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Alexander West Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 5250 Vogel Road, Evansville, IN 47715.
