To the Rice Family: Please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband and father. I worked with Rick briefly at the Water Dept. He was a great man and great boss. I remember when he first came to the Water dept. he was very committed to the job but he was still his kids school basketball coach. He was very committed to his family as well. May your many good memories help you at this difficult time.

Dear Rice family,
I had the pleasure of working with Rick at Shaw Environmental and, to a lesser extent, at the City of Chicago. He was a funny, warm and charming man who managed the tricky task of being good at his job and devoted to his family. He also did the BEST Richie Daley impression! I hope the pain of your loss is mitigated somewhat by knowing how many people loved Rick and will always carry his memory with them.
Take care.
