The last time I saw Rick was in 1969 just after high school when I left for university and kept moving west. But I remember him very clearly as someone who was incapable of meanness. He always had room for us in his rec room, in which I think we each must spent a total of about 4 years of our lives, listening to Dean Hagopian on CFOX as we played bad pool and even worse poker. This picture is terrific; Rick looks like an older version of the warm and generous guy he was as a teen. Thanks, Rick, for being such a bright presence.

I just learned of this sad news. I too fondly remember Rick and our pool and poker games in his home. He was a great guy with a ready smile and a lot of loyalty. He will be missed by all. Bob Bauman. Vancouver BC.

Hadn't seen Ricky in who knows how many years, but had no trouble conjuring up his grinning face from more than 50 years ago at St. Joseph's Elementary School in Beaurepaire. Now gone, along with Phil Esmonde and other treasured classmates. (Angus, you gotta scan that photo and send it to me!) Condolences to the Sullivan family from the Dalys of Quebec and British Columbia.

I knew a teenage Ricky from his friendship with my brother Jim Troutman and remember that twinkle in his eye and sweet mischievous smile; he and the group spent many an hour in our basement. A testament to Ricky as a man are the friendships fostered and maintained from years ago (Jim, Brian, David, Paul, Tom, Doug, Alan) and others made during his life journey. Condolences to Terry, Ron, family and all friends of Ricky. God Bless.

Just before I left for Mexico in December I was looking at my old grade four class picture with Ricky's smiling face in the front row. I will always remember my oldest friend with fond memories. I know he is with his mom and dad and we will all meet again.

Sad to learn of Rick's passing. I will always remember him as a great guy. I am sure St. Peter had a smile on his face when he saw Rick walking through the Pearly Gates with his golf clubs.

Sorry to hear about Ricky. It brought back memories of the home on Beaconsfiled Boulevard and the good times and many laughs there with your whole family. He will be missed by you guys.
