The loss of Rickie, so many years too soon, is difficult to grasp. Since I retired Rickie and I talked on the phone nearly everyday, and I miss those exchanges. I've known Rickie for over 40 years, and for all that time she was more was one of the most intelligent and loving individuals I ever met. She entered U.T. with enough advanced placement hours to be sophomore and I never leanred of anything she couldn't master in the shortestamount of time-except swimming! I'm so glad Mind and Melanie inherited so many of Rickie's attributes and that Lyndon met her 44 years ago. Rickie, we love you and always will.

Rickie was a great lady to work for. She was very impassioned about the PR business and I learned a lot from her. I heard her talk about her husband and daughters often. Her adoration for them was transparent. They should take great relief in the fact that they brought her such pride and happiness while she was on this earth.

Rickie was one of the great PR Mavens of the Bayou City: honest, reliable, creative. A bright and lovely candle has been extinguished, but not the memory of her and some of her fine achievements in various campaigns -- for profit and non profit -- nor her leadership in the profession in Houston. As her wick cools, let us celebrate her life, her smile, her generous soul. -- Preston F. I met Rickie when I first moved to Houston, more than 30 years ago. She was a wonderful, generous person and an amazing public relations professional. She was so proud of her family and especially her two beautiful and talented daughters. She is gone too soon, and I will miss her more than I can say.

My heart goes out to you, Lyndon, Mindy, and Melanie. The last time I saw and talked to Rickie, it was all about how proud and perky she was about the three of you, as always, with a different story on what each of you was up to. Rickie was very protective of and loyal to you in a pleasant, but unyielding manner. What a great example for all of us. I am sad she has gone and very sorry for your loss.

I am so saddened to lose my friend and PR colleague for 30 years! Rickie and I shared accounts including Aetna Health Plans and worked on multiple media training projects together for Houston-based corporations. You may not know Rickie is the professional who put Dr. Red Duke and Herman LifeFlight in the national media spotlight and was tapped for the Exxon Valdez PR team. Rickie had an enviable relationship with her husband of 41 years Lyndon and her two beautiful daughters also became Hook 'em Horn fans. Their idea of family road trips usually involved sports! I'll miss our BD lunches and phone calls...

Rickie was a wonderful friend for 30 years and a superb PR professional. We shared accounts including Aetna Health Plans and mounted multiple media training projects together for top Houston-based companies. Rickie was the most well-spoken person in every situation and her clients agreed from Rep. Sylvester Turner to TI. Her work on the Exxon Valdez spill was remarkable and she put Dr. Red Duke and the Herman LifeFlight (and Houston Med Center) in the national spotlight.
