Diane and Children. Steve and I were very saddened to learn of Rick's passing. We saw him briefly at the restaurant last time we were in Hayward two years ago. But over our many years on Winters Point Road, we were neighbors and frequent diners at both of your restaurants. Rick was such a fun loving guy and we shall miss his beautiful and sincere smile. You are in our thoughts and prayers

I was sorry to hear about your loss. When a family loses someone it can be difficult to continue, but know that he is at peace and watching over you all now. I miss seeing the family and treasure the memories when the Angler's gang would come over and visit.

Dear Diane and family, my family and I are so sorry of your loss. Rick was a great friend of mine and one of the best things that has ever happened to Grindstone Lake in my eyes. If Hayward calls myself the Tom Sawyer of Grindstone Lake I would call him the Mark Twain for all the good times, the stories and the memories and especially the fireworks display he would put on. My son will never forget working with Rick on the fireworks and I know in heaven he will be putting on the best display ever. Thanks Diane for all the wonderful times that you've given my family over the last 25 years of their lives. They are times so special the kids will never forget and Rick will always be remembered in our hearts. We will miss you my friend.
Love, Jerry, Karen, Kora and Ryan Dullea

We are so sorry to hear of Ricks passing. He was one of the first people we met when we got up here in 1998. Rick represented so much of what is great about life in the Northwoods. He always remembered your name and he was a great host and an even better person. We are so glad we got to visit with him one last time a few weeks ago at The Waterfront. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family.

To Diane and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. Rick was certainly a one-of-kind friend, one who was always more than willing to extend the hand of friendship to help someone out, even if they were a complete stranger. His heart was as big as the sky, and that will always be reflected in the memories that we will cherish of him. He certainly left the 'highest mark on the bar' to be followed by others. God Bless.
