Richard W. Fenn "Rockout Rick" was born May 16, 1960 in Toledo, Ohio and was killed on July 24, 2011 in an automobile accident. For over 25 years he worked as a bartender/manager at Obermeyers/ Obie's Tavern and then Coach's Corner, besides having many other small jobs. Rick loved people but the real love of Rick's life was music and his final job in life was being a DJ, playing music and making people happy. He was an excellent cook and loved photography. His is survived by his mother, Joyce Briscoe, his sister, Lori Brans, and her husband, Thomas Brans; nephews Carl Brans (Angela), Tom Brans, Jr. (Kayla), one niece Rachel Shreve (Derrick), one great-niece Sophia and one great nephew Gabriel, all of Houston, TX.
He is also survived by two aunts, Daphalene Cole of Temperance, Michigan and Cheryl Kiger of Maumee, Ohio and lots of cousins whom he loved dearly. His family and friends meant the world to him.
A celebration of life service will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM till service time.
