Dear Diane, Jennifer, Stephanie,Laura, Bill and Daisy

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Rick's passing last September. Please accept my deep(belated)condolences. Rick was a great friend who I looked up to and thought the world of. Bill and Daisy were fanastic, generous parents who I remember very fondly. We were close friends but I hadn't seen Rick in 35 years and had lost touch. We were friends, played football together at Ridgemont High(probably at the time of the photo with the fu manchu), worked together at Paul's Sundries, listened to Steppenwolf and cannoed the Rideau from Ottawa to Kingston. I only found out about his passing today by googling his name in an attempt to catch up. I'm so sorry I wasn't able to do so earlier.

I can see by the other entries that as a man, son, husband, father and friend, he remained the way I remember him and has obviously left a wonderful legacy.

Diane, Jennifer, Stephanie and Laura,

I'm sorry I have not had the opportunity to meet you but if you are ever in Ottawa you're welcome at our home and I'd love to meet you.

Bill and Daisy, I think of you and your kindness and hospitality often and hope you are well and wish you the best.

Warmest regards,

Andy

Rick was a great guy to have by your side, committed and professional. He was always so calm and laid back, except maybe in defence of his Black Hawks! Know that he was loved and respected by all and will be missed.

It is hard to belive that such a caring person has passed. Rick always had a wonderful attitude at work that made others smile. He would take time to help a junior member. Those that left the service or transfered to other locations always remembered Rick fondly.

Dianne: Barb and I were shocked and deeply saddenned by Rick's passing. And even after the many years that have passed since our M.B. trip we talked fondly of the fun that we had.
Now sadly we must take solace only in the memories.

Our thoughts are with you and your family.

So sad to hear of Rick's passing. The Atlantic meant we only met a couple of times, but I've great memories of the times we did. I had hoped so much we would get the chance to meet up again.

Thinking of you Auntie Daisy, Uncle Bill, Dianne, Jenny, Stephanie and Laura.

From one of his "mad Irish cousins".

I am so sorry to learn of Rick's passing. We are all thinking of you all - Dianne, Laura, Jennifer, Stephanie, Daisy and Bill. Words seem inadequate to express the sentiments I am attempting to convey to you but please accept our deepest sympathy. It is such a shame the Atlantic kept the cousins apart while we were all growing up - I would have loved to have known Rick better. I do remember Rick with our cousin Alan in Auntie Mollie's 'front room' when he was a teenager, complete with a crop of black hair and a thick sweater - suffering from jet lag and the Irish weather - not to mention a silly wee cousin!
With much love from Auntie Georgie, Cynthia, Will, Matthew, Simon and Nicholas.

Dear Dianne & girls; I am shocked and saddened to hear about Rick. I have many fond memories of time spent with you, Rick and your family over the course of about 20 years. When I think of him, I will remember his Rocky & Bullwinkle imitation and how funny he always thought he was!!! He will be missed. Thinking of you.
