Every one who knew Rickey I'm sure has a Rickey story or two. I have many memories of Rickey especially during the 70's. When he was with the City of Calhoun Police Department during night patrol he would pull pranks all the time. We had barracks behind our funeral home where the ambulance workers would sleep. He would come by all during the night and wake us up just for the fun of it. If we were out on a call, he would pour an entire bottle of baby power in our beds. He would cut our electric heater off in the winter and put a firecracker against the coil and when we would turn it on the firecracker would explode. He destroyed several heaters. He would call in a false call and would have the doors locked to the ambulances and the keys in his pocket and be hid close by and watch us panic. I could go on and on. I will always remember Rickey.

We spent many hours talking around the post kitchen table talking with Rickey...Mainly listening to Rickey talk..lol. He was a GREAT guy ! Rickey and I escorted the Georgia Tech Football Team on several occasions from north I-285 down to Grant Field (Riding Motorcycles). Rickey was one of those guys that you wanted on your side if things went bad. He was a "Trooper" at heart and one tough dude. GSP #313

Rickey was a good man. I graduated with him from Fairmount High School in 1966. He was an Outstanding Athlete and Im sure if he had ever had the chance he would have made the Big Leagues playing Baseball. He could throw one mean curve ball.
