Rick (Ricky) Moncibais, went to his heavenly home with the Lord on August 5, 2017. His devotion to his children, family and God was his ultimate happiness. We are now comforted to know he is safe and in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
Ricky was born to his loving parents, the late Herbert Moncibais Sr. and mother Matilda Moncibais on January 6, 1964. He was blessed with two wonderful sons, Trevor and Camden who filled his life with love and joy. He spent numerous years coaching his boys in sports as well as being their number one fan in all they did in life. He is survived by his three brothers, Herbert Jr, Monty and Roy and his five sisters, Janie Scott, Gloria Ince, Debbie Murphy, Melissa Gooch and Sandra Moncibais. He was loved by numerous nephews, nieces, in- laws and friends.
Ricky was incredibly intelligent and a tradesman of many crafts which he leaned from his fathers abilities. He later ran his own successful business. If you knew Ricky you would know he was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. His immediate family will be honoring his passion for the Dallas Cowboys by wearing a special ribbon.
Visitation will be held Thursday August 10, 2017 from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm with a rosary scheduled for 6:30 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home. Please join the family 10:00 am Friday August 11, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 6306 Kenwood Ave. Dallas, TX 75214 for a Memorial Mass.
He brought great joy and laughter with his wit to all in his life. We love him dearly and will miss him always. We are comforted to know he is now OUR ANGEL!

I came to know a bit late about Rick's passing away. He told me that he was ill, I thought it was some minor inconvenience. Really he was sick but he did not want to tell me about it. We are very sad about his passing.
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. If you like you may write to me.
Rick was a good man, hard working, very sincere in his works. He was in the middle of a contract with me to do some remodeling (don't worry about it). May Rick Rest In Peace. We continue to pray for him.

I am going to miss you Rick. You made me laugh so many times in the very short time I knew you. You had a humor no one can match. You were one of the smartest men I have ever met. Truly amazing. You'll live on in my memory for sure. God's speed my dear friend.

My heart breaks for each of you as you mourn the loss of such a special man. I pray the love felt from family and friends will bring you comfort during this time of great sorrow and loss. To the Moncibais family, my heart, thoughts, & prayers go out to you all. You all have been friends of mine for years.
Ricky is truly a special friend. It had been a while since we talked but the times we shared together and with our friends from Woodrow and Richland can't be beat.
His laughter was unbeatable. Some of the best of times. Truly. He was always there when you needed him. Great friend, and person. Wonderful dad and loved all his family. Ricky you will be missed thank you for all and the great, great times.

We will miss you , dearest Rick.
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Rick you were a great friend and a wonderful Mentor. I will miss our conversations and learning from you. We had plans coming up but I guess you were needed more in Heaven. Greet me there when I arrive. See you then Brother.

Prayers and love sent to all who knew Rick. Although I know that no words can ease the loss you feel, just know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
We will all be remembering Rick's laughter and honoring him with our memory of his great wit! Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
