Obituary

Ricky Lynn Mayberry, 51, of Grottoes passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at his residence. Born July 28, 1962 in Lynchburg, VA he was the son of Harry Cecil Mayberry and the late Peggy Marie (Conn) Mayberry. Ricky was a member of Harriston Christian Center. He had a passion for motorcycles, fishing and playing the banjo. Talented with his hands, Ricky could always be found working on appliances particularly heating and air conditioners. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Renee Audette. Survivors include his children, David Burns and girlfriend, Charlotte Roadcap, Casey Mayberry and Cody Mayberry all...
Ricky Lynn Mayberry, 51, of Grottoes passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at his residence.
Born July 28, 1962 in Lynchburg, VA he was the son of Harry Cecil Mayberry and the late Peggy Marie (Conn) Mayberry.
Ricky was a member of Harriston Christian Center. He had a passion for motorcycles, fishing and playing the banjo. Talented with his hands, Ricky could always be found working on appliances particularly heating and air conditioners.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Renee Audette.
Survivors include his children, David Burns and girlfriend, Charlotte Roadcap, Casey Mayberry and Cody Mayberry all of Waynesboro; siblings, Joyce Morris and husband, Harold of New Hope, Wanda Lamb of Waynesboro, Barry Mayberry of Crimora, Harry C. "Bud" Mayberry, Jr. and wife, Linda of Stafford, VA and Vicki Perry of Spotsylvania, VA; grandchildren, Jazarah and Jazlyn Barbour of Waynesboro; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as several special lifelong friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Harriston Christian Center with Pastor Durwood Cowan officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be David Burns, Jeremiah Lamb, Dennis Lamb, Dickie Campbell, Steve Boyles and Tony Davis.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the church or other times at the home of his sister, Joyce Morris.
