Rita Galbally (Melvin), nee Coyne, died the way she lived - peacefully, gracefully, and with full acceptance of the Lord's will. Rita passed away on August 10, 2017 at her daughter's home in Chester Springs, PA, surrounded by family after a long illness.
Rita is survived by her children, Anne G. Kelly (John), Richard C. Galbally (Mary), Teresa C. Binning (Chhinder), Cecilia G. Cooper (Ross); ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her cousin, who was like a sister to her, Anita Morales McCloskey Aurelius. Rita is preceded in death by her beloved son, John J. Galbally Jr.; her loving husbands, John J. Galbally Sr., Esq. and Joseph P. Melvin; and her dear brothers, Richard J. Coyne, MD, and Francis R. Coyne, Esq.
Rita was born on December 27, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA to Richard J. Coyne, MD, and Teresa Sweeney Coyne. An alumna of Immaculata College, Rita enjoyed great success in her real estate career for many years. A woman of great faith, Rita attended daily mass as a longtime parishioner of Saint Monica's Catholic Church in Berwyn, PA.
Rita was outgoing and fun-loving, with friends of all ages. She will best be remembered for her strength and courage; her generosity, kindness, and witty sense of humor. A lifelong learner, Rita loved reading, travel, and researching her family's genealogy. Above all, Rita dearly loved her family and her faith, and she will be greatly missed.

I will think of you every Thursday at 1:00! Being your stylist for the last few years has been an honor! U were my mid week pick me up! When you lit up when you realized you were with me at your hair appointment for the week it meant the world to me. When you stood behind the register with me and refused to leave with Omi you tickled my pink! U really were special to me Ms Rita and I hope I made you feel that when you were with me! I'll never forget you! REST IN PARADISE MY BLONDE BOMBSHELL!
