Rita "ET" Spahn. 70, of Milltown, died Friday, August 2, 2013 in her home. She was retired from Pepsi Cola, a member of the Elks Lodge, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Harris-Hannah VFW Post # 6527.
Survivors include her husband Tony; one son, Tim Spahn and wife, Kathy of Fort Smith; one daughter-in-law, Becky Spahn of Fort Smith, her mother, Mary "Mimmeo" Rye of Fort Smith; three sisters, Mary Agnes Dean of Alma, Lucy Biggs of Barling, and Sandra Chaffin of Carthage, Texas; eight grandchildren, Brett Spahn and wife, Liz, Devin Kimbrell and husband, Josh, Carrie Pottorff and husband, Bryan, Kaycee Spahn, Callie Spahn, Kristen Roper, Brooke Slone, and Tyler Broussard, and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Greg Spahn, and her father, Raymond Donberger.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 7 at Immaculate Conception Church in Fort Smith with burial at U.S. National Cemetery. Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Dickie Spahn, Rodney Chaffin, Chuck Geske, Stan Biggs, Ross Eager, and Kin Quinata. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Brown, Kevin Self, Rett Howard, Lonnie Bearden and Sam Evans.
