Timothy 4:6-8
6 For I am already on the point of being sacrificed; the time of my departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up
for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

Robbie was a great partner in business and friend to everyone at Penske Truck Leasing. He was well known for his work ethics and you could always count on him and his affiliates to do the right thing even when no one was looking. He was a gentleman and a role model to many.

I first met Robbie while I was working off duty at the Food World on highway 50. He was a typical teenager and almost drove the manager nuts. The manager was a relative of Robbie. Robbie was always funny and definitely liked playing jokes on people. Some years later I found him to be the owner of Ace wrecker and quite the businessman.

When I got this email I was sad to hear of his passing but then I remembered some of the things he did at Food World that caused me to laugh and I think Robbie would like that.

My prayers go out to the family and friends of Robbie's

Robbie was a dear friend of mine. He took care of everyone. A handshake guy who's word was worth more than any written contract! He will be missed! My sincere condolences to the Faulk family. I am a better man for having had Robbie in my life.

There are no words that could begin to explain the friendship I had with Robbie. Although I was involved with his business on a professional level in my position in Auto Theft with the Orange County Sheriff's Office, he went out of his way to ensure that our prior friendship would never have a negative impact on my career or that anyone could ever say "he got that contract or tow because of Roni". He was a professional when the situation called for it but a friend when it didn't. I have seen Robbie TRY to be mad about a situation but he always ended up laughing and showing that little grin of his, something that always made me laugh. Robbie was a very caring and generous man, sharing with family and friends alike. I used to love working the details down on the South Trail when Ace would tow the vehicles for us he would always treat the drivers and squads working to pizza, wings, etc. He would sit and talk to us all night if we'd let him as he always had a story to tell! Robbie, thank you for being a great business owner and one that was always willing to work WITH me when I had a despondent victim, often giving the vehicle back for free without me even asking. Yours was one of the few tow companies that I could always count on to offer assistance. And NEVER once did you question me when I would ask you to release a vehicle to someone other than an owner such as a family member when the victim was injured or unable to respond to pick the vehicle up! To some, that may seem insignificant, but believe me it's a point of contention faced far too often in this business and much appreciated! It's not always about the almighty dollar and Robbie has proven that over and over. He has a heart of gold and frequently displayed it.

The first time I ever had the PLEASURE of truly enjoying his gift of sharing was when I offered to return his friend's son, Austin, back to Waynesville, NC and save him the 10 hour trip driving up (and 10 hours back the next day)as I was making the trip anyway to pick my son up at a friend's house after a summer visit. He offered his beautiful cabin to spend the night in, in lieu of having to stay at a hotel. We were fortunate enough to enjoy the cabin several more times and I loved sending him photos I took of the beautiful sunrises he told me once that it was his little slice of heaven, that he loved to wake up and see this view... Robbie, I hope that you enjoy looking down on this view every day and sharing it with your Mom and Dad who you have so much love for they would have enjoyed it just as much as you did. You will be missed Robbie more than you'll ever know. Thank you for your valued friendship and for always being YOU! Roni, Stan, Annie and Harrison Waller
