Robert "Bobby" Benjamin Howard, 80, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at a local health care facility. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Hudgins officiating. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue.
Mr. Howard, son of the late Willis Grady Howard, Sr. and Flora Mae Hancock Howard, was born in Winter Haven, FL. Living in Macon most of his life, he was a 1954 graduate of Lanier High School. Mr. Howard was a U. S. Navy Veteran serving on Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Ticonderoga (C.V.A.14). He retired from Robins Air Force Base in 1987 with thirty years' service and lived a life of leisure in Jones County. In recent years, he attended Ingleside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Robert B. Howard, Jr., Sandra Faye Howard, Joyce L. (Joe) Crumpler and Melissa Helen Abney; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica and Jerald Havis, and Brittany and Nicholas Crumpler; two great grandchildren, Titus Sauls and Jayden Havis and several nephews.
