Robert Dean (Bob) Beaver, of Rome, GA, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016.
He was born on June 9, 1950, in Monroe, North Carolina, to the late Harriett Jane Reeder and Luther (June) Beaver.
Bob graduated from Coosa High School and was employed at the Bekaert Corporation and Jefferson Southern Corporation. He served his country in the United States Air Force for six years.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Newton Beaver, to whom he was married on May 6, 1989. He is also survived by his children, Brad Beaver and Brandi Brock (Joey), Rome. Stepchildren are the Rev. Bill Pardue (Shana), Rome, and Jim Pardue (Lila), Spring Hill, Tennessee. Nine grandchildren also survive. Siblings include Jesse Michael Beaver, William Steve Beaver, Teresa Dawn Swindel and Kimberly Sue Casey and his beloved dog, Libby, his constant companion.
Bob will be remembered for his work ethic, his fairness and his steadfastness in all situations. He was a proud veteran who loved his country and was a true friend to many.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of the First Baptist Church with the Reverend Bill Pardue officiating. The family received friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1189, Rome, GA 30162-1189.
