Robert Donald MacKenzie, age 90 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 10:05 PM Sunday January 7, 2018 at Reid Health Care Center Richmond, Indiana. Bob was born August 4, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio and the son of the late Robert Glenn and Josephine (Ehrard) MacKenzie.
He retired in 1983 from Dayton Power & Light Company where he had been employed for 35 years.
Bob was a Veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a very active member of the Greenville Veteran's Honor Guard. Also a member of the Greenville Elks Lodge and had served as Exalted Ruler from 1970 until 1971 as well as a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge, both of Greenville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann (Connolly) MacKenzie October 9, 2012; 3 sisters and a niece.
Bob is survived by his children Patrick (Mary Ann) MacKenzie of Centerville, Diane MacKenzie, Michael MacKenzie, Susan (Mike) Shroyer, and Kevin (Lori) MacKenzie all of Greenville; grandchildren Matthew (Sherry) Sharp, Monty (Christena) Sharp, Molly (Sam) Price, MacKenzie (Jared) Gary, Nicki (Jared) Gillespie, Joe (Mey) MacKenzie, Katie (Curtis) Hill, Tony (Emily) MacKenzie, Andrew (Sylvia) MacKenzie and Abbey (Will) Adams; step grandchildren Alyshia, Jordan and Lynee' Gary, Melissa Shroyer and Ashley (Justin) McCool; 13 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren , 1 great great grandchild and Special Friend Elaine McMahan of Greenville.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday January 13, 2018 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor David Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Church Cemetery of Greenville. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in funeral home. The Greenville Veteran's Honor Guard will conduct Full Military Services Saturday morning in the funeral home.
It lieu of flowers the family requests that Memorial Contributions be given to the Charity of your choice.

I became acquainted with Bob and his wife after my husband and I assumed ownership of the Michigan fishing resort where they vacationed each summer.
