I'd like to send my most sincere condolences to all of Babe's family, and am so terribly sorry to learn of his passing.
I've considered Babe a friend ever since we were kids when we'd spend every weekend skating at the Columbus rink, back in the 1950's.
We'd sometimes skate together... and Babe was always sweet, respectful and polite.
Four years ago, I happened to be in Columbus visiting my best friend and we happened to spot Babe downtown at an outdoor summer music fest.
It had been more than 55 years since we'd seen each other, because I've lived in Ohio since graduating.
When we went over say hello and I told him who I was, he was so surprised! We were both so happy to see each other again and sat and reminisced together for quite a while.
I'm very glad we were able to spend some time catching up on old times and it was the highlight of my evening!
I know that Babe will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends, but know that he's safe in God's hands now. Please Rest in peace Babe.
Sincerely a friend,
Mary Beth (Beesley) Bott, Fostoria, OH
