Robert L. Hitt, Sr., 72, of Maysville, Kentucky died November 21, 2016 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. Mr. Hitt retired from the City of Maysville and then worked for the City of Flemingsburg and the City of Augusta and was a member of the Word of Life Church. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky on December 3, 1943 the son of the late Richard and Bessie Lee Adams Hitt. He is survived by his wife, Linda Collier Hitt; three sons, Robert L. Hitt, Jr. of West Union, OH, Greg Hitt (Tammy) of Peebles, OH and Anthony Hitt (Stephanie) of Maysville, KY; one daughter, Lisa Haughey (Todd) of Dover, KY; nine grandchildren, Emilee Hitt, Lauren Hitt, Amanda Hitt, Brandon Haughey (Ashley), Bethany Thomas (Mark), KaSandra Hickman, Tyler Hitt (Kierston), Rian Hitt and Courtney Bauer (Ray); seven great grandchildren, Rylee Haughey, Declan Haughey, Norah Grace Thomas, Marquise Kirk, Mylah Cloyd, Emmaline Hitt, Jaxton Cooper and one more on the way. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Hitt and one sister, Kathleen Hitt. Funeral services for Robert L. Hitt, Sr. will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, November 25, 2016 with Pastor Debbie Horn and Pastor Sam Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Wedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Hitt, Greg Hitt, Robbie Hitt, Todd Haughey, Tyler Hitt and Ryan Hitt. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.
