I had the pleasure of meeting Bob in his later years in Tampa. He was a delightful, gentle man, who strived to maintain his independence. He always had kind words and a smile on his face. He will be missed by many.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Eichhorn's passing. I was blessed to know him briefly during the time I lived next door at The Behrmann's in Westfield. I came across his Lakewood address while I was going over some paper work. I just wanted to let his family know what a wonderful and lasting impression he left on me from our conversations. He was a kind and caring man. God Bless all of you.

"Bob", as he was known by all his friends & co-workers, was a man of honesty and integrity.
My husband & I met Bob & Ruth at Nomahegan Swim Club when our children were young. With Bob, you got what you saw. His gentle manner and kindness became quite evident as soon as you met him.
He was very successful at his job, working for Union Carbide, and he traveled worldwide for the company.
Bob & I had the same nickname for each other. We both called each other "STAR" because we were on the same bowling team, always hoping to come in 1st place in our League. One year, I got a spare & Bob followed with a strike to finally win 1st place for our team. We were the winners!
Thus, 2 "STARS" were born...
When I told my two children that Mr. Eichhorn had passed away, their responses were the same - "He was a such a nice man!"
Bob was truly a gentleman's gentleman.
Rest in peace, friend

On behalf of Rich Eichhorn and myself I extend sympathy to Linda and Scott. Uncle Bob enjoyed sharing family ancestory and he spent alot of his time sharing it with Rich who prided himself with the willingness of Uncle Bob to collect and share that history. May all of you find peace in the leagacy of a very special Man. With respect, Chuck

There are so many nice and kind things I can say about grandpa. He was very charming, always spoke with intelligence, and gave the best hugs! The thing I admired most about him was his unconditional love for his wife. It never wavered. While he will be missed dearly, I find comfort in knowing he is reunited with his Ruth. I can only hope that his grandson and I can follow in his footsteps and continue to experience the kind of happiness, support, and true love that he and grandma had. It was such a blessing to know and learn from him. Until we meet again grandpa... xoxo

There are so many nice things I can say about grandpa. He was always charming, always spoke with intelligence, and gave great hugs... but what I admired most about him was how he loved his wife. He thought the world of his girl and while he will be so missed I find comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his one true love. I hope his grandson and I can experience the lifetime of happiness, support, and unconditionally love that grandpa shared with grandma. Until we meet again. Xoxo

I treasure all the time we had together and regret the time we lost. You inspired me to think, create and build but also taught me how to relax and enjoy my surroundings. You will always be missed but never forgotten.

Poppy, you were the best grandfather a kid could ever ask for. From teaching us how to sail and fish, to always making the time for us, I always felt you encouraged us to do what made us happy. Know that your morals and values have been passed down to all those your life has touched and will continue to be passed down for generations to come. While I miss you so much, I am constantly reminded of all the great memories we shared. I will forever be grateful for your Best Man speech at my wedding, as that is one of my most-favorite memories. You will be sorely missed, love you.

Dad - How do I adequately express my love and gratitude, in this space, for all that you have done for me and meant to me? I simply can't...
A man, husband & father that both teaches and exemplifies kindness, faith, humility & perseverance is a special gift from God.
So, rather than try to thank you here, I will leave all who are blessed to visit this site with the ultimate message which you, as a man, father (& Sunday School teacher!) wanted everyone to remember, even if they remembered nothing else:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first & greatest Commandment. And the second is like unto it - Love your neighbor as yourself."
May we all strive to do so...
God bless you Pop - we will all miss you!!
Love, Scott

Pop, you were much more than a father-in-law to me; you were a wonderful friend who always made me feel so loved and special. I enjoyed our converstaions, trips for ice cream, sharing holidays, our phone chats that always ended with playing our "I Love You" game. I will celebrate you and give thanks to God for my time spent with you. I love you x 2 x 5 x 10 x infinity... xo~Joan
