Robert Muenich Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 1, 2015.

passed away peacefully in Phoenix on March 31, 2015 at the age of 94. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 30, 1921. When World War II broke out Bob joined the Army to serve his country. Returning in 1945 he married the love of his life Joan. In 1960, tired of traipsing through the snow, they packed up the family and moved to Phoenix. Bob worked as a letter carrier for 39 years. He also worked for Valley National Bank and was a school bus driver. Bob was a longtime parishioner at SS. Simon and Jude where he coached little league baseball, ushered, served on the parish council and finally was an altar boy. He and Joan loved going to their cabin in Strawberry. This was extra special when the grand kids visited.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Clara and brother Don. He is survived by his wife Joan, daughter Susan Gomez (Martin), son Jerry (Karen), son Jim (Julie), and daughter Terri Vehon (Dave) eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 7 at 10 am at SS. Simon and Jude Cathedral with internment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sisters of Loreto Retirement Fund, 6351 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85017
