I have been searching for Robert for many years, I finally found him a little too late. I met Robert when he was station at Biggs Army Air Field and we became the best of friends, and even traveled to Corpus to meet his family. Life happened an we lost track of each other. You were a joy to be around and I will cherish the memories we lived. May you rest in eternal peace my brother.

Well, I am very late in writing my thoughts, but it was only this evening when I heard the news of Robert's untimely passing. I did not know his brother Michael, but I see others who worked with him had the same feelings about him that I have. Always ready to go, ready to help, ready to bring a fresh perspective to everything, and ALWAYS ready to make you laugh. He could pick you up when you were a bit low better than anyone that I have ever known. Although I think it is unlikely that any of us can say that we liked ALL of the people at the jobs that we had, that crew at Southwest Ailines in CRP came as close as any. Robert was a big part of that. As I look at some of those names posting here, I am reminded that I wish I could reminisce with Robert as well as them about those warmly remembered times.
I send condolences and wishes for peace and healing to his family. He's still smiling and affecting those blessed by his spirit the same way he always did. Adios, mi amigo.

Rest in peace, Bobby. He was one of the first kids I met in the first grade at Zavala Elementary. I think our teacher was Mrs. Hanson. Bobby and a boy named Roy....I remember them chasing me on the playground. I remember one of them fell once and I kicked him. Biobby called me Wogzana bc he couldn't pronounce my name right. He became my first childhood secret crush..Good times! Thanks for the memories. God comfort you all.

I had the incredible pleasure of working along side Robert at Southwest Airlines years ago. I will remember him as the exceptional man he was. Always sharing a special kindness and gratitude. He brought sunshine into any room he entered. I am heartbroken for his family, whom I will have in perpetual prayer. God bless you and keep you.
