Robert Raymond Brewer Sr. "Bob", 88, a resident of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on December 7, 2017 at Brynwood Nursing Home in Monticello, Florida. He was born on August 30, 1929 in Tigert, Tennessee to Curtis Frazier and Rosie Luella Brewer.

Bob proudly and honorably served his country for 6 years in the United States Army in the Alaskan ski troops and the Korean War, obtaining the rank of Sergeant First Class and was meritoriously awarded two Bronze Star Medals.

By profession, Bob was a journeyman aircraft electrician starting at Boeing, moving to Lockheed, working on military airplanes and helicopters, then going to San Diego, CA to work for the Civil Service at North Island in Coronado, California. He also worked in electro-mechanics, maintenance, and other interesting jobs including missile systems, flight systems, airstrip lighting systems, and so forth before retiring at the Columbia, MO airport with the Federal Aviation Administration in 1987.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters and 5 brothers; ex-wife, Rose Eileen Brewer (nee Killin)(mother of Katherine, Robert Jr., Linda, Barbara, Erma, and David); son, Robert Brewer Jr. "Bobby" (Laurie), and great-granddaughter, Abigail Clanahan. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Lida Mae Brewer (nee Schwetz), his children: Katherine Partain (Michael), Linda Brewer, Barbara Wright, Erma Collins, David Brewer, Michelle Brewer, and Michael Clanahan (Jan); his sister-in-law Charlotte Brewer (Thomas); 16 grandchildren; plenteous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home located at 700 Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32312 with interment following the service.
