Robert John Schmailzl, 68, of Lincoln, NE passed away on June 13, 2017.
Robert was born August 16, 1948 in Lincoln to Kenneth and Patricia Schmailzl. He graduated Lincoln High in 1966.
After high school Robert entered in The United States Navy and served 4 years then he served in the Naval Reserve as a Construction Battalion Builder. He was discharged from the Navy in Washington State .
Robert then worked at Boeing Aircraft as a crane operator.
Later he moved to Lincoln, NE and worked at Millard Lumber as a prefab wall builder then retired on June 1, 2017.
He is survived by son, Michael Schmailzl, WA; twin brother William (Linda) Schmailzl, sister, Patty Lang of CA, sister Beverly (Darrell) Wilson, Larry Schmailzl, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by, mother, father, 2 brothers, and grandparent and aunts and uncles.
Memorial Service will be on Tuesday, June 20th at 10 am at Calvary Community Church, 4400 North 1st Street Lincoln, NE. lincolnfh.com
