Robert (Bob) Weston Walker "Sir Robert the Charming" cherished husband and father passed peacefully on January 8, 2018. He was handsome, charming, and the rock of the family.
Bob was born to Abner Weston Walker and Margaret Maher on November 9, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York. An only child, he spent his youth in Brooklyn and in 1942 joined the US Marine Corps. Although he was ready to serve overseas at any time, he was fortunate to have served his country in various bases in the US as an air traffic controller. After the war, he continued to serve in the US Marine Reserves until he was honorably discharged in 1952.
In 1947 he attended North Texas State University on the GI Bill where he double majored in economics and marketing. Fortune would bestow him again when his professor went to work for Gulf Oil in Venezuela and offered him, his best student, a job after graduating in 1949. It was in Caracas that he met the love of his life Alice Evans. They were married on June 16, 1951 in Caracas, Venezuela. His work with Gulf which was called Mene Grande sent him to San Tome, Maracaibo, Lagunillas and back to Caracas. Their four children were born in Venezuela during their years there. In 1970 the family transferred to Coral Gables, Florida for four years, then to Denver, Colorado for two years and to Houston in 1976. In 1983 Dad retired from Gulf. Bob and Alice and remained in Houston and were married for fifty six years until her passing in 2007.
Bob is survived by his children Margaret and husband Steven Bluestein, Patricia, Katherine and husband Robert Hux, Steven and his children Robert II and wife Cameron and , Matthew and Cate, great grandsons Johnathan and James (children of Robert II and Cameron), sister in law Graciela Evans, nephew John Hatch and niece Elizabeth White.

Sorry to have missed the service for Bob. He will be truly missed, such a fun person to know. I knew him in San Tome, Venezuela. My thoughts and prayer are with all of you - it was my pleasure to have met some of his daughters. The weather was bad so they had to cancel transportation at The Village. Susan Wiewall

To the Walker family: Your father was such a pleasant person to
introduce the Holy Mass every Sunday morning. He and I exchanged the Sign of Peace each Sunday as he ushered us from our pew to Holy
Communion. We will miss Bob greatly.

To all the Walker Family Members, who because of geographic dispersal we never saw enough of over the years, my sincerest condolences. We all know what a wonderful and so charming a man Bob was in life, and feel provileged to have know him in his many visits to Barbados, and to Bagshot. He had a great and long run, lived to be with his beloved Family for many years, and while no one likes to see loved ones go, it is part of life. He went surrounded by friends and Family - thus a happy departure. Love to all of you. Allan Joe Robinson - Caracas, Venezuela. [email protected]

Happy memories remain of Bob's life. Bob regularly walked the Wilchester subdivision and he would stop and socialize about family, past work, and life experiences. Over the seventeen years my family lived on Queensbury, we visited numerous times in the process of tending the yard, putting up Christmas decorations, etc. He had a sharp mind, always being careful to put a new twist to some of the same life experiences.
Bob introduced us to Steve and Margaret, initially to get a roof put on the house, following with years of insurance networking.
From my perspective, I am envious of his life. Bob did it all will. He was a good example to follow, he had a long run and left his family and friends with fond memories.
