Obituary

Robert George Robertson Alexander passed away at Arbor Hospice on June 10th, 2013, after a year long battle fighting cancer. "Bob" was born January 7, 1943, in Kilmarnock, Scotland to David and Mary (Orr) Alexander. Bob graduated Doctor of Philosophy (Metallurgy) from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, Scotland in 1965. In 1980, he immigrated to the United States with his wife and children to pursue a very successful career in the automotive industry, research and development field. Robert George Robertson Alexander passed away at Arbor Hospice on June 10th, 2013, after a year long battle fighting cancer. "Bob" was born January 7, 1943, in Kilmarnock, Scotland to David and Mary (Orr) Alexander.

Bob graduated Doctor of Philosophy (Metallurgy) from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, Scotland in 1965. In 1980, he immigrated to the United States with his wife and children to pursue a very successful career in the automotive industry, research and development field.

Bob was proceeded in death by his parents, David and Mary and his beloved wife, Yvonne Therese (Timoney) Alexander, whom he missed dearly. He will be sadly missed by his son, David (Sara) Alexander; daughter, Lindsey (Henry) Haley, grandchildren Henry, Danny, Jonathan, Katie, Alexis and Kelsey; sister, Thoma (David); sister-in-laws, Olive, Clare (Gerald), Monica (Neil) and several nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. Fourth Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI, on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 1 pm with a service immediately following at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the .
