Robert Leo Altschuler of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on Thursday, February, 27, 2014. He was 91 years old.
Robert was born on March 22, 1922 in the Bronx, NY. He was a United States Air force Veteran who served during WWII and Korea and flew on over 25 missions during WWII retiring as an Air force Major after the Korean War. After serving in the Air force he worked and retired as an Electronic Engineer for Singer, designing aircraft landing equipment. He was a kind gentleman and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife Margaret; loving sons, Mitchell and Adam Craig Altschuler; caring grandchildren, Robert Henry, Allison, Alexandra and Holly Altschuler and many friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY from 2-4pm on Sunday, March 2, 2014 with a Memorial Service at 3:15 pm.
