Hadlyme- Robert M. Bagwell, 62, of Ferry Rd., Hadlyme, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Gladeview healthcare in Old Saybrook.
Mr. Bagwell was born on August 23, 1948 in Middletown the son of Eugene and Norma Driesch Bagwell. He served in the Navy from 1967-1971 during the Vietnam war. He was employed for many years as an Engineer at Middlesex Hospital and was the owner of Heart of Stone masonry.
Mr. Bagwell is survived by his son Grant Bagwell and his wife Rebecca of Lyme, his Mother Norma Bagwell of Hadlyme, his Brother Dana Bagwell and his wife Jackie of Hadlyme, and his two grandchildren India and Mason Bagwell. He is predeceased by his father Eugene.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 10:00am in Hadlyme Congregational Church. Interment will be private. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00pm in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Beckwith Ln., Old Lyme, CT 06371. I am so very saddened to hear that Bobby died. I dated him in high school and found him to be charming and warm. He was a good guy! I have not seen him in years but this news is deeply disturbing. My very deepest sympathies to his family.

Bob was always there with a smile and a joke, he even got me out of a few scrapes back in the day. :o) He will be missed, and I will never forget him or his heartfelt speech at my grandfather's(Bompa's) memorial service.
