I work with Denise, Steve's wife. Although I never met Bob, I wish I had because of all the wonderful things that I heard about him. His pride of serving in the military and all of his accomplishments in life. I have heard what a great man he is and I know he will be missed dearly.
To Steve and Denise and all of the Baker family, please accept my greatest sympathy.

Frank McKinney
I am a forester that worked with Bob (the son) for many years. I only met Mr. Bob one time but spoke with him several times. It was always fun to kid him a little before the LSU - Alabama game.
It is refreshing when someone leaves this earth with the assurance of a heavenly home because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Bob and I had talked several times about his dad's faith and how confident Bob was that his dad was ready to leave this world. My prayer for your family is that you will have a "peace that passes human understanding" during this difficult time.
Cherish the memories!!

Miss Jane, I'm going to miss Mr. Bob sitting on the back pew at church. As ornery as he seemed sometimes, he was a joy. LSU better watch out. I'm sure he's in heaven now bending God's ear about the next football season. I feel blessed to have known him since I joined Memorial Baptist. My prayers are with you and your family.

Jane and children, our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you on the passing of your loved one. Fifty years ago today, June 10, I walked into the Texaco building for the first time and shared a small office with Bob and another engineer for several years. I also had the honor of serving with him in the 380th Engineer Group and 377th Support Brigade army reserve units. I will forever remember our banter over the relative merits of the Vols and the Tide.

Ms. Jane, Steve & Denise, Bob, Miranda and Rachel,
Jay's and my heart aches to learn that Mr. Bob passed away today. All of y'all have been a second family to us over our 20 year marriage, and, well, for most of Jay's life. We have so many memories over the years and we treasure each and every one. We loved Mr. Bob and we love all of y'all. Roll Tide!
Our deepest sympathies,
Jay & Elaine Grush
