Robert J. Beal, 82 of Andrews died at 9:22 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Parkview Huntington Hospital. Robert was a 1946 graduate of Lancaster High school. After high school he worked at Hostrachs in Huntington for several years before joining the U.S. Army serving from 1951-1953. He than worked for Schacht Rubber for 30 years, later he managed the Warren Auto-Truck Stop for several years. Most recently he worked for M&B Dairy in Andrews retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Chapel Pike Wesleyan Church in Marion and was a former member of the Etna Ave. Wesleyan Church for 60 years. Bob enjoyed collecting and restoring historic John Deere tractors.

Mr. Beal was born on April 6, 1929 in Lancaster, IN a son of Isaac and Opal (Haecker) Beal. He was united in Marriage to Natalie J. Schacht on March 16, 1957 in Huntington, IN. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include – 2 sons: Bobby (Wanda) Beal of Pace, FL and Terry (Tera) Beal of Andrews; a daughter Jodi (Garth) Mook of Andrews; a sister Kathryn Forney of Warren; 12 grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers – Tennis, Clayton & Freeman Beal, and 2 sisters – Eileen Daughtery and Ruby Fickle.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Colter and Rev. Herb Mohler officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday.

Interment will take place in the Lancaster Cemetery in Lancaster, IN., Huntington County.

Preferred Memorials are to the Chapel Pike Wesleyan Church Building Fund, c/o of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
