Obituary

Jeff Branon, 55, of San Angelo, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home. Jeff was born on December 7, 1954 in Lamesa, Texas to Thomas Clyde and Nancy Rae Walker Branon. He married Teresa Davis on February 26, 1984 in San Angelo, Texas. Jeff was born on December 7, 1954 in Lamesa, Texas to Thomas Clyde and Nancy Rae Walker Branon. He married Teresa Davis on February 26, 1984 in San Angelo, Texas. He graduated from Lamesa High School in 1973. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Angelo State University. Jeff retired from the insurance industry. He then worked as a hunting guide at Adobe Lodge, Rocker B. Ranch and Rocking Chair Ranch. Jeff had a love for the outdoors and was an avid supporter of the Ram Club. He was an amazing husband to his wife Teresa and he loved his family and his Lord and Savior. He had many, many friends. He and his childhood friends reunited each year.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and father in-law J.C. Davis. He is survived by his wife Teresa and mother in-law Marian Davis, both of San Angelo; one sister, Sarah Yancey of San Angelo; two brothers, Tommy Branon and wife Susan of Midland, TX and Mike Branon and wife Patti of Lamesa, TX; three nieces, Shelley Angeley, Leslie Montz and Jessica Yancey, all of Lamesa, TX; and three nephews, Sean Branon of Kingwood, TX, Neal Branon of Casper, WY, and Hunter Yancey of Lubbock, TX.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Water For Life, Southland Baptist Church at 4300 Meadow Creek Trail, San Angelo, 76904, and Trinity Lutheran School at 3536 YMCA Dr., San Angelo, 76904.
Pallbearers for the service will be Randy Carr, Carl Renner, Matt Hudson, Tim Clarke, Randy Addison, Dave Nix, Monty Bedwell, and Mark David. Family and friends may sign the online register book at www.johnsons-funeralhome.com
