Robert Bradley Brewer Jr. 56, died on July 12, 2017 surrounded by loving family and friends. Bob was born on January 7, 1961 to Robert B. Brewer and Grace T. Brewer in Palo Alto, California. Bob's happy birth was announced with the hanging of a Boy Scout uniform in the walnut tree in front of their family home. He was the youngest of four children and the only boy. When Bob was two years old the family moved to San Jose, California where he spent the remainder of his youth. Bob attended John Muir Junior High and Pioneer Senior High School and began his lifelong involvement with Boy Scouts of America in San Jose, Troop 301.

At the age of 17, Bob enlisted in the Navy. He spent much of his Navy Career as an Engineman on the USS Barry. During his time in the Navy, he was able to travel extensively in the middle east and Europe. He received his honorable discharge from the Navy on June 25,1982.

After the Navy, he returned to living in San Jose for a few years and started his professional career at JC Paulson in Santa Clara, learning the occupation of a master lock smith, commercial hardware and doors. In San Jose, he met and married his wife of 28 years, Laura Tunstall Brewer. Shortly after they married Bob and Laura moved to Seattle, Washington to begin their new life together, buying a house, establishing their careers and building a wonderful community of friends.

One of Bob's greatest joys was his family and he and Laura were thrilled to become parents to Zachary Lyle Brewer and Spencer Vaughn Brewer. Throughout their childhood Bob was actively involved in supporting their hobbies and interests including sports, scouting, music and the outdoors.

Bob loved the outdoors; camping, boy scouts, boating and transferred love of nature to his boys. He was actively involved in Indian Guides, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts as his boys grew. Bob wanted his boys to see some of the world and experience the joy of adventure and travel. Bob and Laura took Zachary and Spencer to Washington D.C., Hawaii, Florida, and a lot of camping around the Pacific Northwest.

We've lost him to this life all too soon and will miss Bob's sense of humor, great story telling, love and commitment to family, appreciation for music (especially Rock & Roll) and dedication to support family and friends in need.

Bob is survived by his wife Laura, son Zach, sister's Kathy Valles (brother in law Fred) , Mary Brewer & Anne Storer, Brother in laws; Von (Claudia), Todd, Kevin & Alan Tunstall; Nephews; Sean Mott (Sarah), Kevin Hayes, Nick Valles, Matheaus Tunstall, Nieces; Katie Nice (Robert), Marissa Valles (Ivan); Great Nephews and Great Nieces (Anna, Noah, Ryan, Abby, Isabella, Julia & Elijah). He is proceeded in death by his parents; Robert & Grace Brewer, his son Spencer Brewer, father in law Ted Tunstall, brother in law Howard Storer.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday July 28th at 4pm at Lake Forest Park Civic Club, 17301 Beach Dr. NE, Lake Forest Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Boy Scouts of America or another charity of your choice.
