Robert T. "Bob" Burton, age 95, of Hamilton passed away at his home on Friday, February 7, 2014. He was born in Butler County on October 28, 1918 the son of Harley and Margaret (Goodman) Burton. On August 26, 1941 in Sharonville, Ohio he married his wife of over 72 years, Dorothy A. Sies. Robert was employed as a tool & die maker at General Motors Fisher Body for 30 years retiring in 1978. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Burton; his children, Ronald (Sharon) Burton of Fairbanks, Alaska, Robert T. (Pamela) Burton Jr, Judith (Carl) Downie, Roger (Debbie) Burton, Jerry (Flor) Burton, Bruce Burton, Darlene Lockemy,...
Robert T. "Bob" Burton, age 95, of Hamilton passed away at his home on Friday, February 7, 2014. He was born in Butler County on October 28, 1918 the son of Harley and Margaret (Goodman) Burton. On August 26, 1941 in Sharonville, Ohio he married his wife of over 72 years, Dorothy A. Sies. Robert was employed as a tool & die maker at General Motors Fisher Body for 30 years retiring in 1978. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A. Burton; his children, Ronald (Sharon) Burton of Fairbanks, Alaska, Robert T. (Pamela) Burton Jr, Judith (Carl) Downie, Roger (Debbie) Burton, Jerry (Flor) Burton, Bruce Burton, Darlene Lockemy, and Bonita (Steven) Hobbs all of Butler Co.; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Susan Burton; and two brothers, Charles Burton and Fred (Kissie) Steig. A Memorial Service will be held at Seven Mile Presbyterian Church later this year. Burial will be in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Seven Mile Presbyterian Church in Bob's memory.
