Passed away peacefully the night of April 24, 2013 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Beloved father of Maribeth and her husband Mark Dunn of Grimsby and Robert and his wife Christine of Ottawa. Cherished Grampa of Jacqueline, Jacob, Spencer and Eric. Loving companion of Audrey Campbell. Also survived by his siblings Patricia Carpenter, Frances Walsh, James Fitts, Phillip Fitts and Pamela "Jeanie" Weiskittel all of Michigan. Bob was my musical icon. I never saw him on video and I was searching the internet to see a Bob Fitts video when I discovered his obituary. What a shock! His music will continue to lead men to Christ and to strenghten the faith of others. My sincere condolences to Maribeth, Robert, the rest of the family and to all those who love him in Christ (especially because of his music)

Bob was a customer at our store for many years. When we had just started out he was such an encouragement, always telling us what we were doing right and giving gentle criticism when we could improve. He was always unfailing kind to me and I will miss his visits very much. He was a true gentleman. My condolences to all of his family members and friends.

My condolences to the family and of course to you Audrey. What a great guy. I remember so well when I first met Bob and Barbara when they took night classes in music at SSFC. in the earlyl 70's. To you Audrey, I will always have fond memories of the Saturday night dances that the four of us attended

My sincerest sympathy to Audrey and family. Bob was the best friend one could ever have. He was a giver, not a taker. If he had it, you could use it. If you couldn't do it , he would do it or show you how to do it.
We had coffee twice a week for over 22 years at Lansdowne Place.
We shared a lot of laughs and I will miss him so very much.
