So few of us had the privilege of referring to Robert as "my uncle". He was The Guy. He visited my Dad often when we were young, and even more throughout the aging years. His wisdom and sense of humor inspired me to realize the meaning of FAMILY. Even though he chose in that wisdom to remain single, the family connection that he TREASURED with Mickey,Mang,Rita Mario,Frank, and us, taught me everything I needed to know. The love and the Sheer presence he brought to any group was magic. Everyone loved having uncle Robert "there". He always knew and said the right thing! Any time anywhere, and in every situation.
God Bless You Uncle Robert! Rest in Peace. Thank you for showing us how to be. - Steve Francavilla

My deepest sympathy to the Francavilla and Tocci families in the loss of their uncle. Whenever Robert returned to the Fitchburg area for a family event or a visit, his arrival was always eagerly awaited and a source of family bonding, celebration, and excitement.
Robert will be remembered with affection and missed by all his friends and family for his many kindnesses, and genuine concern for others.
