Dear Ginny and family, I am very saddened that Bob has left his earthly home. Looking through the slideshow, you all had such a full and wonderful life. I remember the stories Bob shared with me when I first came to TSD as a teacher in 2001. Many of the pictures I knew from those stories! The speech Rudy gave when Bob retired from TSD, such great love and admiration for his father! Bob was such a kind man, and one of a kind. Love to you and family.

Rudy, I'm so sorry for your loss and, of course, for your family. I met your father a few times at TSD. In fact, he subbed for me twice. On one occasion, Bob was touring the Ward Building. I guess he hadn't seen it in a while. I thought it was funny and interesting how he searched for the chalk boards which had been covered up by white, dry erase boards. I introduced myself and told him that I had worked with his son. He lit up like a Christmas tree. My memory, brief as it may be, was of a kind, keen and gentle man. I wish I had had the chance to get to know him more. I just wanted to share this story. You and your family are in my heart. Everyone at TSD speaks of Bob frequently. In fact, we talked about him today. May God's peace find your heart and the heart of your family.

Ginny and Family:
I've known Bob since when we first met one summer in 1964 at American School for the Deaf (ASD) where we stayed there for the summer job and we spent our time together for several weekends: Stayed overnight at his deaf family's home in Bridgeport; Played softball for Hartford, Waterbury and/or Bridgeport Deaf Club(s); Went to Riverside Car Racing in Massachusetts some weekends; Had lot of ice cream scoops in Lincoln Ice Cream fountain in West Hartford, Connecticut.
Had our great time together on the Gallaudet College campus for 5 years; Was his BEST man for his marriage to Ginny in her hometown in Springfield, Illinois in 1971; Stopped by my house with Ginny while my house was built in Great Falls, VA sometimes in 1982…and so forth.
Ginny & Family, he really had his FULL of LIFE with his continually words and he will always be sorely missed!

Dear Ginny, Pat and I send our sincere condolences to you in the loss of your beloved Bob. We are praying that God will comfort you at this very sad time as only He can. Bob was special in so many ways but I will remember him as a true friend, a loyal friend and a man who always seemed to find the bright spot in everything, the good in everyone. When we moved to Knoxville in 2002 our daughter Nori was struggling somewhat in school. Bob tutored her and she just loved him. We did too. There is no doubt in my mind that when Bob stood before the Lord, he heard those precious words: "well done my good and faithful servant".

Ginny and family,
Please accept my deep and sincere condolence on Bob's sudden departure.
I was branded "Class of 1970" along with Bob and others way back in 1965. He was an inspiration to many people, who love him. God has his reason for taking him home with him. May your memory with Bob bring comfort to both your family and you. He loved you and his family, who were first in his life priority.
It was good to see him again at Gallaudet 150 last July. We stayed in the same dormitory and bumped into each others in the lobby. We chatted briefly as we went in and out.
