Robert "Rocky" C. Grayless, Sr., of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at his home with his loving and devoted family by his side at the age of 73. Rocky was born April 25, 1938 in Terre Haute, the son of Chancey and Catherine (King) Grayless. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and also worked at Novelis for over forty years before retiring. Rocky enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will forever be remembered as a hardworker, who will be dearly missed by all. Robert "Rocky" C. Grayless, Sr., of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at his home with his loving and devoted family by his side at the age of 73. Rocky was born April 25, 1938 in Terre Haute, the son of Chancey and Catherine (King) Grayless. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and also worked at Novelis for over forty years before retiring. Rocky enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will forever be remembered as a hardworker, who will be dearly missed by all. Rocky is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of over 48 years, Julia "Sue" Grayless; son, Robert C. Grayless, Jr. and wife Shannon of Terre Haute; daughters, April Grayless and Ashleigh Grayless (companion Terry Leclercq, Jr.), both of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Kayla Akers, Robert C. Grayless III, Lea Grayless, Walter Douglas, Karmen Grayless, Travis Mize, Pamila Grayless and Kolby Leclercq. Rocky also leaves behind a great grandson, Michael Grayless, one great grandchild on the way; brother, Norman Grayless; sisters, Mildred Marina and Eileen Tilley; his coffee drinking friend, Terry Leclercq, Sr., as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Rocky was preceded in death by his favorite aunt, Edna Mae Nolte.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19th from 4-8 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home. Rocky's funeral will take place 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 20th at the funeral home. Mr. Gale Guinn, Jr. will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.thomasfuneralhome.net
