Robert S. Howard, Sr, "Bob", 89 of Ocala, Florida passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 in Ocala. Bob was born on August 28, 1922 in Xenia, Illinois to Earl Howard and Gladys Stephens. He married Frances Tredway on August 23, 1942 in Xenia. A United States Army veteran, Bob served three years in WWII and 28 months in China. He and Frances moved to Florida in 1951, settled in Ocala and owned and operated Howard's TV where he had many loyal customers until retirement in 1993. He is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years Frances, daughter Sarah (George) Ray of Ocala, son Steve (Crystal) Howard of Longwood, two grandsons Trevor Howard of Tallahassee and Trenton Howard of Longwood, granddaughter Taylor Howard of Longwood, and brother Bill Howard of Garland, Texas. A ceremony will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
