Robert (Bob) G. Johnson of Marble Falls went to heaven March 8th, 2014. Bob was born in West, Texas to the late Ben and Bessie Johnson on May 13, 1918.
Sergeant Robert G Johnson fought in the North African Italy Campaign in WWII and was a POW for 18 months in Stalag 3B.
Bob was a faithful husband, wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather and trusted friend to many. Bob married the late Sybil Johnson, March 16, 1946. They shared 56 wonderful years together. He was a supervisor in the Dietician Department of Waco VA for 38 years.
Bob loved to share his faith and lived a life of service! He made a difference in the lives of everyone he met.
Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Sybil Johnson, daughter in law Betty Johnson and great grandson Gunnar Lambert.
Bob married Nelda Johnson on March 30, 2001 and they shared 13 wonderful years together.
Bob is survived by his wife Nelda Johnson, his children: Judy Adams and her husband John; Dorothy Lisiecki and her husband Ted; Ginger Lambert and her husband Bobby; Dan Johnson; Tony Martin and his wife Laura; Wyman Martin; Jay Martin and his partner Sean; and Regina Clark and her husband Mark. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, numerous family relatives and dear friends.
Bob loved to share his faith and lived life to the fullest and found joy in his family, friends and most of all serving his precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Bob loved Missions – in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Spanish Mission; Impact Education, Summit Christian Academy or The Kids Fund Pathways.
The viewing will be held from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesday March 11 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. From 1:00 p.m. viewing prior to the memorial service at 2 p.m. Wednesday March 12 at Buchanan West Baptist Church in Buchanan Dam, Texas.
