Bob Jones, was called home on February 13, 2014. Bob was born in Tipton, Indiana on July 22, 1928, to Wilma & Russ Jones. He was raised in the heartland where he learned a lot of values that he retained and served him well throughout life. Bob met the love of his life, Jamesetta Ray (Jones) in Tipton during the war years at the Perfect Circle Piston Ring Factory.

Jamesetta taught high school art and physical education and Bob worked while attending Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN where he earned his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduating he had several job offers from key industry petro-chemical giants and proudly chose Shell to start his career. His career with Shell took the family to many locations across the U.S. for work, including Texas, New York, California, New Jersey, and then back to Texas.

Jeri Jones (Wierwille), their daughter, was born in 1952 in Houston, Texas. Bill Jones, their son, was born in 1954, also in Houston.
Bob worked for Shell from 1951 to 1984. He always thought it was a privilege to have work and enjoyed the challenges it presented. He was very proud to have worked for Shell for his entire career. During those years, he made many lifelong friends as the family criss-crossed the country on their company transfers. These friends became an extended family that remained with them throughout life.

He enjoyed many hobbies during his working years, and in retirement he loved sailing, stained-glass work, jewelry-making, gardening, reading, and travel. Bob had a keen sense of humor. He would help anyone and his family was paramount, as they were his pride and joy.
Taking his father's lead, Bob became a Mason at an early age and recently celebrated his 60th Service Anniversary with his Masonic brothers. He was very proud of his long association with the Masons.

Bob is predeceased by his father and mother, Russell and Wilma Jones, his stepmother, Opal Jones, sisters Mary Helen James & Margaret Clary, as well as dear friends from Fowler, Indiana, Pick & Glen Richmire.

Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 66 years, Jamesetta Ray Jones, his daughter Jeri and husband Bob Wierwille, son Bill and wife Patricia Jones, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to personally thank all of the in-home care professionals, hospice professionals, and neighbors that provided care, love, and assistance during Bob's illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes can be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America at www.alzfdn.org, the SPCA, or charity of your choice.
