Robert Curtis Leslie, Captain US Navy – April 2, 1937 – April 30, 2015, of Williamsburg, VA, formerly of Fairfax, VA and Orange Park, FL, passed away suddenly on April 30, 2015. He was a decorated military officer, having served in the US Navy for over 30 years. He is survived by Jan, his wife of 36 years, his three daughters – Christine (Mike) Weeks, Catherine (Richard) Robbins, Cynthia (Randy) Whitson, and six grandchildren – Tyler Robbins, Matthew Robbins, Drew Weeks, Wesley Weeks, Bayley Whitson and Brody Whitson. His most notable commendations included – National War College, Commanding Officer Patrol Squadron 56, Defense Meritorious Service Medal with Star, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with Combat "V" and Star, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm and Vietnam Campaign. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, DC at a later date. Online condolences may be placed at www.nelsencares.com.
