Dear Cher:
It is so difficult not being there with you, and yes I know you understand that I need to be taking care of Bill and I am. My heart is with you, both you and Bob have been two of the best friends any one can ask for. We are both so grateful for the friendship we have shared. David Mase

A Father, a Hero and most of all my Friend...

One could not have asked for a more loving individual to guide his son through a quest to live life to it fullest; as well as, not to overlook the simple pleasure along the way. His work ethics, attention to detail and most of all his dedicated passion for his family were just a few mentionable attributes learned from a man who had so much to give. I'm truly honored and proud to be called his son and will continue to carry his torch forever forward in my heart.

Love Always,
David Bentley Mase

Sharon, I'm so sorry for your loss. I have many wonderful memories of him at the Bash, Carlisle and at your club's show. He would always stop by my booth and ask if you had stopped yet. He would shake his head, laugh and then always make sure that you were well pleased with your purchase. Sometimes he would even come back around later and ask if you looked at something but didn't buy...he would either get it for you or say "next time".

Sorry I am unable to make the trip but please know that you and your family are in our prayers. May God comfort you and give you piece at this difficult time.

Sending a big hug your way.

We, along with so many, have lost a great friend. There are so many stories to share, and each of them put a smile on our face as we recollect how much fun we had. Where to begin: To start we met Bob after admiring the Lincoln at two separate car shows, the car showed his incredible sense of humor with the broomstick that helped hold up the hood, that we just finally hung around to meet its owner…Bob. Or how we introduced the “Truckman” to a gentleman at a car show on Grosse Isle to later find out that Bob bought the truck and Cher got a new kitchen. We had so much fun with Bob and Cher in all of our travels, particularly to Florida, twice. However the 1st trip down where we did once around the Charlotte Motor Speedway Race track and almost getting in cultural trouble right outside Hard Rock Café in Orlando are times that will forever bring smiles to our faces and joy in our hearts. How many car shows and swap meets galore did we walk around and how many car show pretzels did we eat? Then without hesitation Bob brought us back over to the Mase home to sit on their back deck and figure out what our exploit was going to be. How about when Bob helped us to get ready for the boat races with his pressure hose down at the marina and at our boat, or working on our corvettes and of course countless wonderful dinners out and in. You will be terribly missed our dear friend, Bob.

Bob and his wonderful sense of humor will be missed by myself and my staff at Great Lakes Trophies. He took the nick name we endeared him with "Dash Plaque Boy" with his genuine smile and laugh. He certainly did not need to work a few hours a month for the money, but as a friend who helped out when we needed it. God Bless you Bob Mase and we will miss you. Rest in peace. You earned it trying like hell for several years to beat your illness.
