Robert J. McCloskey, 69, a resident of Port St. Lucie, departed this life Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Mr. McCloskey was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 126 in Jensen Beach, the Fort Pierce Elks Lodge, AMVETS Post 15 in Fort Pierce, the VFW Post in Fort Pierce, the Loyal Order of the Moose – Port St. Lucie, and the Eagles club. Mr. McCloskey was preceded in death by his father, Harold J. McCloskey; his mother, Katherine McCloskey; sister, Jayne McCloskey; and brother, Patrick McCloskey. Robert J. McCloskey, 69, a resident of Port St. Lucie, departed this life Wednesday, July 30, 2014.

Mr. McCloskey was preceded in death by his father, Harold J. McCloskey; his mother, Katherine McCloskey; sister, Jayne McCloskey; and brother, Patrick McCloskey.



Mr. McCloskey is survived by his wife, Suzanne M. McCloskey; daughters, Christine McCloskey-VanVranken, Jennifer Lacey, and Carolyn McCloskey; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth McCloskey, Kathleen Cassidy, and Timothy McCloskey; and several nieces and nephews.



Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 1, at Forest Hills - Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel in Port St. Lucie, FL.



Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Forest Hills-Byrd, Young & Prill Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL. Interment will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
