Obituary

Robert "Bob" Moore went to be with His Lord on April 19. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus at Istrouma Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping with family & friends, doing mission work & helping others. Alumnus of Istrouma High School & University of Lafayette, one of the first two graduating male RN's. Survived by wife of 49 years, Barbara Baham Moore, and three daughters and sons-in-law, Kim Moore Barnett (Jim); Marla Moore Lamana (Kevin); and Ashleigh Moore Callender (Brian). Robert "Bob" Moore went to be with His Lord on April 19. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus at Istrouma Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping with family & friends, doing mission work & helping others. Alumnus of Istrouma High School & University of Lafayette, one of the first two graduating male RN's. Survived by wife of 49 years, Barbara Baham Moore, and three daughters and sons-in-law, Kim Moore Barnett (Jim); Marla Moore Lamana (Kevin); and Ashleigh Moore Callender (Brian). Eight grandchildren, Kaleigh, Micah, Nathan & Kelci Barnett; Mallory and Maxwell Lamana; and Peyton and Hudson Callender; a brother, Eddie Moore (Beth); a sister, Patsy Butler (John); numerous nieces and a nephew; and many special friends. He is preceded in death by parents H.D. and Inez Moore. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Istrouma Baptist Church in Baton Rouge from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Ferris Jordan. Interment led by Rev. Bert Langley will follow at Greenoaks. Special thanks to Harold Brandt, Nicole Thomas, St. Joseph's Hospice & many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Istrouma Baptist Church Love Out Loud Missions Offering or St. Joseph's Hospice. Pallbearers are Jim, Micah & Nathan Barnett, Kevin & Maxwell Lamana, Brian & Peyton Callender, and Ned Keith. Honorary: Hudson Callender.
