The Mounts took me right into their family when Julie and I became roommates in 313 Watson at UVA, carrying me to apple orchards, Skyline Drive hikes, and myriad picnics. Then I shared Christmas Day celebrations with them once Julie's twins were born. I did not know Mr. Mount had died until JUST NOW when preparing to attend Jesse's wedding. But I know he will love meeting my daddy, a fellow phone company retiree, in heaven. I always wondered if the computer matched Julie and me as roommates because both our home addresses started with 1813! Synchronicity leads to perfect friendship.

Mr. Mount was a great friend and neighbor. From the "great pumpkin" to croquet tournaments, he created many good memories. He will be sorely missed, and I send my prayers and best wishes to the family.
