Robert Jacob Schieffelin, 85 of Stafford passed away at his residence on Monday, April 30, 2012. He was a US Marine Corps veteran of WWII in the Pacific Theatre with the 2nd Marine Division. He was a member of Dale City Masonic Lodge # 319 and a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of Shriners International and Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Nathalie; three children, Steven Schieffelin of Watertown, CT, Richard Schieffelin of Fairfax, and Susan Bardwell of Stafford; three grandchildren, Jessica Deussing, Catherine Schieffelin-Balanda, and Brian Bardwell; and four great grandchildren, Sophia, Rowan,...

He was a US Marine Corps veteran of WWII in the Pacific Theatre with the 2nd Marine Division. He was a member of Dale City Masonic Lodge # 319 and a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of Shriners International and Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nathalie; three children, Steven Schieffelin of Watertown, CT, Richard Schieffelin of Fairfax, and Susan Bardwell of Stafford; three grandchildren, Jessica Deussing, Catherine Schieffelin-Balanda, and Brian Bardwell; and four great grandchildren, Sophia, Rowan, Wesley, and Zoey.
A service will be held at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 161 Embrey Mill Rd., Stafford, VA 22554 on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 12:00 PM, with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Dr, Tampa FL 33607, or White Oak Volunteer Rescue Squad, 535 White Oak Rd, Falmouth, VA 22405.
